Ramadhan Charity Began at Campus I

The Syiar Ramadhan 1434 H in UMM started its social activities. The charity included two main actions such as, food primary distribution and free medical treatment for citizens around campus which was began on Saturday (20/7) at Bandung Street, Campus I. It is one of the Syiar Ramadhan events during the holy month.
        Ir Mulyono, MT, as the chief of Syiar Ramadhan stated that 150 food supplies and 200 coupons for free treatment had been distributed for the residents in Penanggungan village around campus I. They are included as poor people who have the right to receive it.
        Therefore, there are four places to hold the charity for this year. Aside from campus I, it also will be held on campus II at Bendungan Sutami Street, campus II at Raya Tlogomas Street, and around the UMM Hospital at Dau.
“We focus on the citizens around campus for this year, because many of them still need our help. We hope this event can be a good silaturrahim as our theme ‘fasting is healthy and makes our bond closer,” Mulyono said.
        In the additional information, UMM sent the medical team from Medical and Health Sciences faculties. “We make sure that the treatment used standard service and the best medicines”,Yoyok Bekti,S.Kep, the social event coordinator, added  after delivering the helps symbolically.  
Moreover, the invitees were given tausyiah (spiritual sermon) by Dr M.Nurhakim,Mag as a Rector Assistant of Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahaan Departments and Saiful Amin,M.Pd before the material distribution.
As the result, the charity that is held near the campus makes the citizen feel as the part of the campus. One of the recipients, Ngatimin commented that she was happy to receive the primary food and the treatments. “I’m happy, it’s free, I hope it can be on every year”, Ngatimin said. (nes/nas/t-iqa)
